Red Deer Photography Workshop
Group Size: 3
Come the Autumn, the Red Deer are at their most active. They display across the parkland attempting to warn off rival males and to secure their harem of females. Join Tom who will be able to guide you under a license for the park to the best areas to see the annual Red Deer Rut giving you constant guidance and tuition throughout the day to ensure you leave with the best possible images. Tom will be on hand to offer advice regarding composition, lighting and the best settings to use in wildlife photography situations.
Due to the nature of the Red Deer at this time of year, it is essential that minimum disturbance is caused. In order to do this the numbers for the workshop are limited to just 3 people per day. This will also enable Tom to give as much advice to each individual as required.
Equipment and Clothing
A minimum of a 300mm lens is needed for this workshop. If the conditions suit, we will photograph the Red Deer throughout the day so make sure you have enough space on memory cards. A tripod is useful for this workshop as it may make carrying your equipment a little easier. Depending on where the Deer are situated, there might be a little walking across uneven terrain before we find the best location to start taking images. Suitable footwear is a must and during the autumn the weather can be changeable throughout the day and especially cool in the mornings and evenings, so warm and waterproof clothing may be required.
