Competition Success

Over the last few weeks the results have been released for both the Nature Photographer Of The Year Awards 2017 and also the Oasis International Photo Contest 2017. The award ceremonies took place in Holland and Italy respectively.

I am pleased to announce that I had three images awarded over the two contests. It is an honour for my work to be recognised again at this level.

Zambia Photographic Safari 2017 – Trip Report

Throughout September and October I led my photographic safaris to Kafue, Zambia in the peak of dry season. We had some outstanding encounters over the few weeks and I have recently released a trip report from my time on location showcasing images from some of the many highlights:

Little Owl Photography Workshop

Set on open rural farmland in Wiltshire, I am offering you the chance to join me photographing these extremely charismatic little birds with tuition. If you are a keen photographer looking for some tips on better composition, or simply advise on how best to use your camera in wildlife photography situations, whilst taking home some images that you are really pleased with then this would make the ideal photography day for you. These workshops take place in May and June giving you the best opportunity to photograph these birds at their busiest time of year.I still have a few places left for these dates. Full details and dates can be seen here: Little Owl Workshop

Beginners Workshop

My Beginners Workshops to Wildlife Photography in 2017 were very well attended and therefore I will be running these again in 2018.

If you are a keen photographer and would like to get to grips with the basics of wildlife photography, this day may be of interest to you. I will be covering the basic settings you will need to achieve stunning wildlife imagery, discussing the importance of foregrounds and backgrounds, working with different lighting conditions and also giving you advice regarding different processing techniques.

The dates available for 2018 and full details can be found here on my website via this link. If you have any questions regarding this workshop, please do not hesitate to contact me:

Thank You

Once again thank you to everyone who has supported me in 2017. For all of those who joined me on safari or on a workshop, to anyone who came to listen to me speak at over 100 venues this year or to anyone that purchased an image, it has been another successful year and I am very much looking forward to showing you the results of some new projects in 2018. Have a fantastic Christmas and very best wishes for the New Year.
